It wasn’t long ago that Charles Barkley was warning everyone to get off of Tiger Woods’ cloud. “He doesn’t owe anyone anything,” I believe was the quote concerning his golf pal, with the addendum that Barkley didn’t know that any hanky-panky was going on at the time. But it’s amazing what a night at a casino opening will do for your point of view … maybe it’s all the free trips to the buffet. Life & Style Weekly caught up with Barkley at the opening of the Casino Club at The Greenbrier on Saturday, where the Round Mound of Sound Bites seems to have changed his tune.
When asked what Woods’ next move should be, the ex-NBA star told Life & Style his longtime pal should ask wife Elin Nordegren for forgiveness.
“He owes his wife an apology,” Barkley said. “He made a mistake.”
The Woods-Nordegren divorce is all but complete, with reports on a settlement to Elin ranging from $750 million to $100 million. But now, according to Barkley, Woods owes her more than that.
“He owes his wife an apology,” Barkley said at this weekend’s opening of Casino Club at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, adding, “He made a mistake.”
Not surprisingly, the retired basketball pro — who has had his own share of scandals, including a DUI — denies any knowledge of Woods’ affairs. “I had no idea any of this stuff was going on,” Barkley has said.
Despite urging Woods to apologize to his wife, Barkley still lends Tiger his support: “He’s my friend no matter what. I don’t judge other people, only God can.”
God seemed to be the only celebrity not present at The Greenbrier opening, which also included Shaquille O’Neal, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Barbara Eden, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Lee Trevino, Jane Seymour and Elliott Gould. Added bonus: Barkley trying his best to corrupt Brooke Shields. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:
When asked if she’s a gambler, Ms. Shields said with a laugh, “I gamble with my emotions. I like to stand behind and be sort of the gun moll.”
Later that evening, she was seen trying her hand at the $100 limit blackjack table flanked by Mr. Justice and Mr. Barkley, who is known for enjoying a roll of the dice. The two men were offering advice, but when she started to lose, Mr. Barkley said, “I feel bad. I’m gonna have to stay until she gets back to even.”
Oh well; back to the buffet (see photo No. 4).

Whatever Charles if I were you I’d just stay out of it. Michael Jordan has enough sense to do that.
Nobody buys you had no idea given how you’re Tiger’s boy and all.
At least he was right about one thing he’s not a role model.
None of them are really

Advice coming from the guy who got busted soliciting a BJ from a hooker at 2am…I am sure Tiger was waiting for his advice in order to make a decision about apologizing to his wife.

This is certainly very, very, tiring to watch. One wonders seriously about the two hours local tv stations have, and the
three hours of NBC Today Show, has to fill it up with “gossip.”
Obviously, the Hard News, and even useful information, is totally
discarded. And this goes on, and on. The question the media never
asks, is how many types of types of VD does Tiger Woods have, after
picking up (and discarding) …what was the number 125…girls
who usually had a “profession” working for tips in bars. Realize,
the only reason any female would pick him up, is to try to
manipulate money out of him. I am getting to the point of totally
distrusting women…due to these reasons.
One would estimate the man, is a walking VD bomb.

All of us know Tiger rolled with Charles & Michael. I believe as soon as the divorce is finalized Tiger will take a look at what he DID to help him win. He gave an interview yesterday in Ireland & the press asked him some uncomfortable questions. In answering them he was curt, dismissive, & annoyed. One of the journalists asked him if his trials were hurting his game because he has played so dismally. He replied saying everyone “was reading too much” into it. My impression of him saying this is that he thinks parts of his behavior had/has an affect on his playing. I felt like he downplayed his behavior. If that is true then maybe he thinks resuming meeting his voracious sex drive with many women will have the positive effect on his game he wants/needs. After all balancing everything in his life pre-Thanksgiving seemed to help him win a lot of tournaments. I wouldn’t be surprised if he does pick back up what he did previously. He’s going to do whatever to win. Tiger is probably going to be very wary of who he runs with. I can’t think of any man at that stratum he could roll with except Charles & Michael. They were discreet, most likely enabled him, & enjoyed the camaradeier. Some guys have commented that most if not all women are prostituting themselves, maybe on the first date, for a payday of some kind if not outright extortion so they don’t trust any girl. It takes 2 to tango & us guys like the casual hookup(s), the more the merrier. If each of us could be totally up front about our expectations before the hookup a lot of confusion could be avoided. My experience is women can be just as mistrustful of us because of some of our behavior.

Naughton, wow “if not all women are prostituting themselves” – relax dude… you’re like Tiger BEFORE the regrets. You just didn’t have the ‘money’ to do it.
He made a mistake – a massive mistake – he is gonna pay and regret it for the rest of this life and it’s not like anyone else’s mistake, not like Lindsay Lohan’s because he was the biggest star on the planet it’s been and going to be for the rest his life the biggest heart and headache on the planet.
Half the planet knows, reads, comments etc. on it. He certainly has my pity and it must be worse for his wife. Oh! and finally, relax dude please, it’s gonna be ok. Really.

You should be careful with your grammar when accusing others of being ignorant. “Your” is a possessive pronoun. “You’re” is the appropriate contraction for “You are.”

If elin was not for the money, she would have stayed.. Barkley is only trying to give good advise. She would have stayed till the 10 year marriage and than if she wanted to opt out.. she gets 200 mil..
thats the right business move. SHE IS FOR THE MONEY.. GOLD DIGGER..
SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT.. Ordinary woman would have left tiger or given him a chance for the sake of kids

I think Barkley is 100% right.. lebron is probably the best player in the NBA now and couldn’t do it on his own??? It’s all about believeing in yourself and he is not there yet!! Wade already brought a championship home, why does Lebron want to hang on his shirt tails..true champions Kobe, Larry Bird, M johnson , jordon to say the least!!! Southbeach, rileys influence etc besides the money which cleveland would have given him…Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Maybe his age also..Don’t leave the troop and find a new troop to belong to, to win? Not a champion in my book!!
