TMZ now reporting Elin will get $100 million

The perpetual Elin Nordegren-Tiger Woods divorce settlement wheel of fortune continued to spin today, with one new report setting the arrow at $100 million. That’s a fair pile of coins, but nowhere close to the $750 million figure that’s floating about from other sources. TMZ is saying today that it has solid proof of the $100 million number, but they’re not naming sources either, so take from that what you will. And by the way, the $100 million doesn’t include child support. TMZ:

As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, “She’ll be getting close to $100,000,000.”

There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We’re told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million.

The $100 million is way more than Elin would have received under the prenup.

Sources say Elin will receive child support, but we do not know the specific amount.

And the houses; don’t forget she gets a couple of the houses, including the new Jupiter Island mansion.

    Amy, do you have the ablility to comprehend written words? First I can’t stand golf, never have never will. I don’t waste my weekends in front of a TV cheering people chasing little white balls around. Second, did you not read where I said his conduct was stupid and disrespectful? Third, why do get to make judgements about their world? Do you know them? Have you had dinner with them? Did Tiger break into your house one night, steal your pop tarts and kick your dog? So who do you think you are to sit in judgement on Tiger or Elin. Is it possible that Elin has character flaws, that may have in some small way contributed to Tiger’s reckless behavior. I don’t know, nor do you know if Tiger is a “major POS” in your words. Maybe, just maybe Elin is a piece of cold fish wrapped in really pretty paper. I don’t know and neither do you.
    I agree with you that money as you say “can’t buy you class or character”…..but apparently it buys Elin a large serving of salvation. With a $100 million, she gets to have seconds, thirds…..oh what the hell just let her eat the entire pie.

    What a joke, this is proof that the legal system when dealing with so called “fairness” in a divorce is distorted beyond imagination. Why does she get anything? What monetary contribution did she make during the marriage? Why can’t they just go their own seperate ways? One minute women are screaming womens lib and equality and the next they are on there hands and knees scrambling for every un earned penny they can grab. So much for womens lib, ha ha ha ha ha!

    Sweat…It doesn’t matter if she is White, Black, polka dot, green or anything else. It is what it is. Was she a nanny before she married Tiger Woods…Yes. Did he know that and marry her anyway…Yes. Did he willingly and knowingly take her and his family for granted and risk losing them if he was caught committing adultery…YES. Did she force him to do it…NO. Is he now paying the price for doing all of that YES. Why should he have all the money and live an extremely comfortable life and not his wife (former wife) and children. She was a good wife who stood by his side and from all appearances did what a wife is expected to do and was and is the epitome of grace and dignity. Financially she and his children, do not deserve to live and enjoy life in any less of a manner than he does.

    Sixthsense, If you and your wife indeed have been intimate five times in three years and you are bothered by that and YOU HAVE CHOSEN to stay in the marriage you have no one to blame but YOURSELF. It is apparent from the language you use, to refer to intimacy with your wife that you are a real deadbeat. Perhaps this is the reason why your wife finds you so UN-APPEALING and more than likely wants to vomit when she even thinks about intimacy with you. Perhaps you should do one of two things: change and become someone who doesn’t nauseate her or get a divorce and see if anybody else wants your nasty behind. now scalars

    Elin still has to raise the kids. Being Tiger’s kids, that means that they have to be protected from the media, would be kidnappers, etc… That will take resources. The home they live in will have to be protected, with a long driveway, etc… Security will be required. I am thinking that the house will cost $ 8 million, security will run $400K to $ 500K per year for 15 more years. So we are looking at about $15M. Then Elin needs to be compensated for putting up with Tiger. Call that $3 to $5M. She can keep the house. Child support will run another $ 25K per month. I think that we are looking at a settlement of $ 25 to 30M. Tiger pays for college, and any other extraordinary needs. I’d make him dump some money in a trust. It they do not need it while they are growing up, the kids can have when they are 30.

    How is it that a divorced woman “deserves” 100 million? Tiger’s behavior was abhorrent. He put his wife through some health risks with his philadering. Those risks however failed to put her in actual harms way. She divorces him, takes full custody of his kids (emotionally damaging if he’s any kind of man at all), and she gets paid for 4 or 5 years of being married. Not too bad. But put some perspective on it people. No one “deserves” 100 million dollars. I don’t care how much money your ‘ex’ is worth. Like in golf make it fair and equitable. You all seem to want to punish Woods like he was some kind of Hitler. 100 million dollars? I don’t think the Germans paid that much in war reparations for killing 6,000,000 people…. do the math, no one was killed. Tiger cheated on his wife repeatedly and she let him (yes she couldn’t have been THAT niave).

    Anyone who actually thought she’d get more than this type of sum was dulusional. She had a pre-nup for about 20MM, he had amassed a huge amount of his fortune before they were married (that she wouldn’t be entitled to)and even if he had close to a billion bucks, to think she’d get 3/4 of it is comical. Goes to show you that reporters for rags like TMZ have that job for a reason….they lack the needed reality checks that real life, real jobs entail….

    For those who hate Tiger please try to understand him first. He was under control of his strict father his entire life. Forced to play and practice golf from a very young age, every day, for hours. He was what his dad wanted him to be, not allowed to choose his path. He was paraded on television by his father, google (Mike Douglas/Tiger appearance). He was brainwashed by this strict father to focus on one thing only, break all of golf’s records and specifically Jack Nicklass’s records. While under his thumb he was told he would go to Stanford and, of course, play golf. Please face the fact that this person lived a dis-functional childhood and only dated a nice gal in college very little. It was all golf all the time to make his father happy. Then he graduates and is thrust into the world spotlight of professional sports. Meets a cute swedish gal, probably his first sexual encounter, and does the stand up thing and marries her. Being the best in his sport he meets other great athletes, Jordan, Barkley, etc. and they take this young inexperienced man out and introduce him to the adult world. Bars, gambling, strip clubs, and the most beautiful and “experienced” women. He is finally an adult and his judgmental father has passed. It is like a child in a candy store with poor friends giving poor advice. And so he blows up and becomes addicted. Yes, addicted to sex, look it up, it is a real addiction. I know because I suffer from it and have been to many meetings with many men and women who suffer from it. It can ruin your life. Yes he was an unfaithful husband and he will pay dearly for it but please try to understand and learn about this person before judging him so very harshly.

    This is not about black or white-it’s about one person’s bad decisions and the consequences! Tiger just had MORE resources and assets to lose than the average guy who makes bad decisions!
