The perpetual Elin Nordegren-Tiger Woods divorce settlement wheel of fortune continued to spin today, with one new report setting the arrow at $100 million. That’s a fair pile of coins, but nowhere close to the $750 million figure that’s floating about from other sources. TMZ is saying today that it has solid proof of the $100 million number, but they’re not naming sources either, so take from that what you will. And by the way, the $100 million doesn’t include child support. TMZ:
As one source with direct knowledge of the terms of the divorce tells TMZ, “She’ll be getting close to $100,000,000.”
There have been reports Elin would score $750 million, but we have confirmed that figure is wrong. Indeed, as we first reported, Tiger is not even worth $750 million. We’re told his net worth is somewhere between $500 and $600 million.
The $100 million is way more than Elin would have received under the prenup.
Sources say Elin will receive child support, but we do not know the specific amount.
And the houses; don’t forget she gets a couple of the houses, including the new Jupiter Island mansion.

Elin Nordegren deserves a substantial divorce settlement amount since Tiger Woods is demanding from Elin a lifetime of silence. Tiger is the one who caused irreparable damage to the marriage and the dissolution of the family unit with his adulterous, reckless and irresponsible behavior. Tiger Woods humiliated his wife in front of the world and caused his family enough hurt, pain and suffering that will last them for the rest of their lives! Tiger Woods used his wife and children to earn millions from sponsors projecting a false image of integrity as a devoted husband and family man, while living a sordid secret life. Tiger, reportedly, had unprotected sex with multiple promiscuous partners, potentially exposing Elin to life threatening conditions such as STD, HIV, hepatitis, herpes, uterine cancer, etc. Some of these conditions can be dormant and could take years to show up. It is very wise of Elin to demand that Tiger never expose their children to any future female companions ”unless he is married to said person.” I commend Elin for being a caring and loving mother and for her great courage, dignity and class during this horrid time in her life. Elin’s life was put a risk by Tiger’s irresponsible, philandering behavior. She deserves whatever she can obtain in this settlement and then some.
It does not matter how well Tiger played golf, what matters in the end was one’s moral compass, or in his case a lack thereof. His behavior shows that he placed his own self-gratification over his wife and his children. He may have millions but is morally bankrupt.

People are making it their business and their problem the amount of money Tiger is giving to Elin. Obviously it is not a worry or problem to him because he is happy and trying to get on with his life.
As the saying goes and we have seen time and time again, money is the root of all evil, plus he cannot take it with him when that time goes.
Hopefully Elin can hang on to the money she receives or make good use of it. If true, she at least is making a step in the right direction by going back to college. This way she can get a career and a job and become an respectful independent woman.

Well, here goes salt to the soup. First, let me say that I think the whole matter is a hot mess. That said, there are a few comments that can be made with respect to social norms and values in the Western culture generally and the USA specifically. Yes, in the West, we do place a high value on entertainment and celebrity; therefore and as a result, they are some of the highest pay persons in the society. Yes, Race is still the unresolved original sin of the USA, and in that context, White people retain some level of priviledge due to skin color; and accordingly,women are are generally considered Creme de la Creme. Yes,Black men of significant means appear to prefer White women, not all, but enough to catch out collective attention. It probably has something to do with what a White woman may represent to a Black man: the very best the society has to offer, daughters of dominance, the historically forbidden fruit, a ticket to mainstream America, a means to better social positioning for offspring (light skinned, curly haired kids in a society that prefers lighter skin to darker skin i.e., Halle Berry, Barack Obama, Mariah Carey, etc.), the embodiment and representation of the lush life, the spoils of victory:the defeat of White men. Tiger and Elin are in the crosshairs of the various social and economic principles that polarize us; therefore, everybody takes a side and has an opinion. And I guess the reality is, with the USA as a context, Elin and Tiger will get, perhaps not what they deserve, but what they have bargained for.
