Apparently Landon Donovan’s wife is a little more up on current events than, say for example, Elin Nordegren. When news broke on Saturday that Donovan may have a pending child with an unnamed British woman, it wasn’t news to Rules of Engagement star Bianca Kajlich, Donovan’s wife. How did that conversation go, I wonder?
“Honey, where’s the remote? I hate to miss ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Oh, by the way, you may be hearing rumors that I got another woman pregnant. Now before you go picking out golf clubs to pummel my car, just wanted to give you a heads up that the rumor is probably true.”

A source close to Rules of Engagement star Bianca Kajlich, who is currently separated from Donovan, tells UsMagazine.com, “She’s been aware of the claim is extremely supportive of Donovan.”
A British woman — who has not been identified — told a UK newspaper that she is allegedly carrying the baby of the soccer star, who rose to fame when he scored the winning goal against Algeria last Wednesday.
Adds the source, “She was not blindsided by this and isn’t angry.”
On Saturday, Donovan said to Sports Illustrated:
“I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup, and if I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” Donovan told SI.com. “This is a private matter and I will refrain from further comment at this time.”
My advice: Donovan needs to be doing more of this. Then in 20 years we might have a national team that makes it past the Round of 16.

Keep it up Landon, you should think about donating to the sperm bank we could use more of you. Once the kid is born turn him into the best soccer player anybody’s ever seen. If the first fails have ten more until you find a superstar. Have a couple with Mia Ham too then the American team would be unstoppable.

Why is this written with such an air of amazement? They were separated for a long time and have acknowledged that they’ve re-established some sort of friendship.
Its not comparable to Elin Woods at all bec. she & Tiger were (we assume) actually in an ongoing marriage.

LOL Alex. He is a soccer player in the U.S. Very few people here had ever heard of him until last week.
She has been on a TV sitcom for 4 years, seen by as many as 14 million people a week (down a lot last season to only 8 million a week)…Yeah, she is using him for fame.
Get a life. She is more famous and makes more money (He makes $900K/year, she makes $3M/year).

Donovan is still a great athlete, but he’s now lost his “hero” status for me. What an irresponsible move. It’s a shame. He seems to have a level and responsible head. What the hell was he thinking? All his “philosophical” and life-affirming comments are suspect now. Just shows you that it’s not what you say, it’s what you do. Behavior matters.
