This must be a great time to be a D.C. sports fan. Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper with the Nationals, Donovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan with the Redskins, the Capitals have been good for quite a while, and now John Wall is a Wizard. It really is a reason to dance, which area sports fans are doing in this video (full disclosure; due to repeated sackings, McNabb doesn’t actually dance).
Your assignment for today is to answer the essay question: When was the last time a city had an infusion of new sports talent to rival what is happening in the D.C. area now?
Video following the jump.
Note to Cleveland celebrities: It’s much more dignified to do this after the star is already acquired.
It also didn’t take the Wizards long to erect this humongous banner on the outside of the Verison Center.
UPDATE: OK, now things are just getting silly.

“When was the last time a city had an infusion of new sports talent to rival what is happening in the D.C. area now?”
You mean the last time every team in a city sucked so hard that they got the first pick their respective drafts?
/DC resident, not a fan, sides hurt from laughing at the teams for a year
