OK, so here’s four-year-old Ronak Vitha, from India, who set a record by doing nearly 1,500 pushups in 40 minutes. Why? Darned if I know. As ESPN’s Bruce Feldman noted, he could instead be relaxing with a soothing cigarette like all the other kids.
Except, that is, for Jack Singer, 10, of New York, who just set the record for wearing the most pairs of underwear. Singer did it on his 10th birthday, donning 215 pairs of underwear — which progressed in size from boys’ to Mark Mangino — in about 18 minutes. Bonus: Jack did it as a fundraiser for a local veteran who was wounded in Iraq. Verdict: Win.
