Blackhawks leading in third period … local man prepares annoying diesel horn

Chicago is leading the Flyers 3-2 with about 12 minutes remaining in Game 6, which means that Rich Young of Carol Stream, Illinois is preparing to treat the neighbors to one final blast of the ole Blackhawks train horn. Young has earned a measure of notoriety for his habit of sounding the diesel horn during Blackhawks playoff games; three times after each goal and three more times after a win. Since his house has not been burned down under suspicious circumstances, we’re assuming this is OK with the neighbors.
While they’ll soon be overturning taxis and setting sofas on fire in Chicago, this is likely the only excitement they’re going to see in Carol Stream tonight. It’s so exciting that they may just throw caution to the wind and sound the horn FOUR times. I know … madness!
