From what I’ve seen so far, the World Cup TV soccer ads already have the Super Bowl beat (take a look at a few of them following the jump). My favorite: Optus’ ‘Secret Training Camp,’ co-starring Australian World Cup players Tim Cahill and Lucas Neill, and assorted wildlife … shot on location in South Africa, no less. Optus is a telecommunications company based in Australia, and I’m not sure what that has to do with ostrich soccer, but it makes for some cool images.

Now, compare that to the Nike ad that’s making the rounds.
And on we go …

Pretty sure the second to last one isn’t a world cup commercial. It’s a norwegian commercial for chocolate, and I don’t think it aired as part of a world cup build-up (certainly not this world cup at the very least). Still it’s a very charming commercial featuring the beautiful game, so i suppose I should shut my trap regardless

cheers from up north!
