That's no dog toy! Pit bull chomps UFC fighter in very sensitive area
May 24, 2010, 3:45 PM EDT
Cool fact about UFC fighter Kyacey Uscola: While filming Ultimate Fighter 11, he had his first child, named Charles Champ Uscola. Unfortunate fact: After being eliminated from the same show last week, he was attacked by pit bulls and received several lacerations, including on his penis. Actually, it was more than a laceration. Excerpt from transcript on Bloody Elbow:
Stephan Bonnar: The tooth actually pierced through your penis?
Kyacey Uscola: Yeah, all the way through.
SB: It bit a hole in it?
KU: Yeah.
It’s unlcear whether Uscola had just finished taping the show or was home in Sacramento when it happened, but here’s a longer transcript of his interview
Spike TV’s Stephan Bonnar. Interview here (dog fight portion begins at about the 18:30 mark).
Kyacey Uscola: I was walking up to the side of the house, along the road, when these dogs sort of ran up on me and cornered me, and um I’m an idiot I didn’t run when I should’ve ran, I squared off with them and sliced my hand punching one in the teeth. Got chunks bitten out of my shoulder, hip, hamstring and the uh money one was that they bit through my urethra and uh I had to have a catheter for two weeks.
SB: The tooth actually pierced through your penis?
KU: Yeah, all the way through.
SB: It bit a hole in it?
KU: Yeah.
SB: Holy s***.
SB: At any point did you try choking the dog out? Or did you just throw strikes?
KU: I didn’t want to get on the ground with them, it was all sprawl and brawl man.
SB: So not too different from how you fight then.
KU: Not too much.
KU: The hooks I threw were from the hip, everything was no technique, soccer kicks. (gestures wildly)
He went on to ask Uscola how things were going with his wife, but you can find that on your own.

“I am working to break the stereo type of pitbulls as an agressive breed and this story just sets that back. It could have been any two dogs that approached him”
Did you seriously just pull the doggy race card? I mean really!?

im not sure i agree with you all the way. but i have to say your story is as funny as it gets. thats good stand up right there. its a sad story, but then all of a sudden the guy is packing and blows them away. the story took a fast turn bro…..i think its the way they are raised. and the second factor is, how they breed them. if they breed them wrong sometimes no matter what you do, or how you raise them they are nasty. but i think you can say the same for any dog for the same reason. when selecting a pet, or pitbull, you have to make sure you can trace the dog all the way through the breeding process and where and who it started with and what their reputation is before purchasing the animal. if you have done all that, i believe pit bulls are just as great an animal as a little poodle. although i never cared for poodles. i like the rots….but loved your story. feel bad for the guy crying for his dog though. believe it or not, i enjoy animals, dogs, more than people. people suck. dogs are loyal.

People should really know what they are talking about before making ignorant comments.
The American Pitbull Terrier is not a violent breed. In fact they are one of the most human friendly breeds there are. They are also well known, among people who know dogs, for their outstanding temperaments. They were tested by the American Temp. Testing Society and the Pitbulls tested passed at a rate of 90% while the average passing rate of the other 122 breeds tested was about 70%. Pits ranked 4th highest on that list.
If you look at the history of the breed you will see that they were once the most popular family dog in the country. They also had the nickname, “the nanny dog”, because they are so good with children. There is also a book available called Fatal Dog Attacks, by Karen Delise. The book studies all fatal dog attacks dating back to the 70s. Delise stated that she could not find 1 single fatal dog attack by a correct pitbull. Its simply not in their nature to be aggressive towards humans. That is one of the reasons why pitbulls do not make good watch dogs.
The problem lies with people. They take these dogs and through abuse, fighting, ect, turn them into something they are not. Pitbulls have a strong need to please their owners so that characteristic along with the pitbulls huge heart, athletic ability, and strength, can make for a dangerous dog.
Bottom line its not the dogs faulty. Put the blame where it belongs.

How ironic, a bunch of MMA fans ripping on pits. Remember when we were all a bunch of neanderthals that watched “human cock-fighting”? Congrats on being the new John McCain. Try opening your minds for these dogs like you want other people to do for you.

I agree with the majority of people that it has nothing to do with the breed. If people did some research they would see that Dalmation’s attack more than any other breed. It’s not a pitbull’s fault they are a beast compared to a Dalmation. ANY DOG can snap at any second, just like ANY human being can. What do I know right? I just own a Cane Corso (which is on my local “dangerous list”) and have to carry an isurance policy on the dog. Breed Specific Legislation is UNFAIR! If this were a small child it would not be so FUNNY! I guess that’s what heppens when you put a Pit in a triangle choke…no rules on the street Kyacey, SHOULDA WENT FOR THE EYE GOUGE!!!!! LMAO

That 1 good pit for every 1000 comment doesnt work your not going to hear about the good pitbulls why would anyone report a story of “hey there goes a good dog” your only going to hear the stories about the dogs that act bad. Why dont we leave this argument to the animal experts you know the people who society has deemed experts on these subjects they have overwhelming stated the pit bull problems going on are due to the owners lack of understanding in terms of training the dogs not due to the dogs themselves.
