First of all, there are a lot of ways that Venus Williams could have gone with the Moulin Rouge theme at the French Open, so let’s just be thankful that she chose this one. It could have been worse. The underwear, though … sheesh. Has it come to this? Having to distract your opponent with pseudo nudity? Williams defeated Patty Schnyder on Sunday to advance to the second round, but at what cost? Tennis will never be the same. But at least my Halloween costume is settled for this year (please do not steal).

Tennis whites are long gone first of all. Tennis is fashion. Maria and Anna I do believe were the first ones to wear their half skirts rolled down to the top of their tail bones and no one complained. It was HOT. Those that don’t like tennis, don’t watch. Her fashions are great. She is not top heavy so it works. People, get over it. No race involved, just get over it.

I’m watching the Maria Sharapova-Pervak match right now, and the rear camera-person if having a ball when Maria leans forward. I don’t see a difference in her and Venus when it comes to clothes…so wht’s the big deal?
