Tuesday Blogdome: Paris Hilton opens a fresh can of whoopass

May 18, 2010, 5:00 PM EDT

* Paris Hilton, American Socialite and MMA Fighter, Wait What?!? When I originally started this blog back in 2008, I thought the odds that I would reference party girl/socialite Paris Hilton were slim to none. Well, when she is training with MMA fighter Gabe Ruediger, then she can finally make an appearance on this site. [Outside the Boxscore]
* World Cup 2010: Catch the Terrorism Fever. Are any of us shocked that al-Qaeda in Iraq is threatening an attack on the World Cup in South Africa? Luckily, there was an arrest this morning in relation to the plot. But that wasn’t before a separate attack on a football stadium in Iraq. [Unprofessional Foul]
More stuff following the jump.

* The People Protesting Phil Jackson And The Lakers Are Idiots. Depending on their perspective (or what day of the week it is), the protesters outside of Staples Center last night are either mad at Phil Jackson because he doesn’t seem to be totally against the new Arizona immigration law, that he believes his team shouldn’t take a political stance, or that he hasn’t spoken out loudly enough against the law. Here’s why all three takes are full of crap. [Rumors & Rants]
* Daunte Culpepper appears headed to the UFL. Culpepper and the Mountain Lions are putting the finishing touches on a deal, according to sources familiar with the talks. Signing with Sacramento will reunite Culpepper with Dennis Green, the Mountain Lions’ coach and general manager. [The Fabulous Forum]
* Roy Jones Jr. Barely Beat A Chicken At Tic Tac Toe. Roy Jones Jr., former champion boxer, played tic tac toe against a chicken at the Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh and won. I mean, that’s not really something to be boasting about, especially when the chicken had a chance to win and all. How’s the chicken gonna pass up the opportunity to block Jones’ win and instead go for some random square? That’s just poor form, chicken. [Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies]
* I Have To Question The Accuracy Of This Tiger Woods Headline From The Guardian. Hey, Tiger may have problems up the wazoo, but in light of everything that has come out about the man over the last six months, problems with mounting sure as hell ain’t one of them. [Sportress of Blogitude]
* Ozzie Smith’s St. Louis Restaurant Misspelled “Harry Caray”. Something tells me this photo, taken in Ozzie Smith’s new downtown St. Louis restaurant, isn’t going to sit well with our friends to the North. And, truth be told, it shouldn’t. [Joe Sports Fan]

    Paris Hilton rocks!!!!!
I’m one of her ever-growing number of 2 million twitter fans.
Paris is a great girl and if she makes an occasional mis step, well it only shows that she is human. But I think she trying harder now to be a good girl.
