News release from everyone’s favorite NBA owner: “We’re very excited to work with the Girls Gone Wild team to launch this show,” said Mark Cuban, President and Co-Founder of HDNet. “The program is a cool, behind-the-scenes look at the GGW enterprise and a wild ride for our viewers. It’s a perfect fit for the new, unrated, late-night programming block that we air as part of our ‘Guys Night In’ line-up every Thursday.”
Far be it from me to deprive the world of boobs (I’m referring to the girls, not Cuban). But as SportsbyBrooks pointed out last night, Mantra Films owner and founder Joe Francis, producer of the Girls Gone Wild series, isn’t exactly someone whom David Stern would be excited about being associated with an NBA owner. In addition to the Girls Gone Wild videos, Francis’ company also produces hardcore pornography, and in 2004 Francis pleaded guilty to violating federal laws designed to prevent the sexual exploitation of children, agreeing to pay fines totaling $2.1 million.
Now, if it were an NBA player associated with Girls Gone Wild, how long do you think it would take Stern to put on his Kick-Ass costume and put a stop to it?
I’m still big. It’s Friday that got small.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT …
What you missed while figuring out where they’re registered …
* Mike Tyson now says he’s a vegan. PETA surrenders.
* Meanwhile, Tyson will be on “The View” today. The sexual tension between him and Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be palpable.
* Penn State student section moved to upper deck of Beaver Stadium. Otter, Bluto are furious.
