Let the record show that on the evening of May 3, 2010, at approximately 9:46 p.m., this loose-limbed douchetard became the first baseball fan ever tasered for running onto the playing field. At least we think it’s the first MLB field-crasher ever so subdued … what we know for sure is this:
“This is the first time that a Taser gun has been used by Philadelphia police to apprehend a field jumper,” Phillies spokeswoman Bonnie Clark said in a statement. “The Police Department is investigating this matter and The Phillies are discussing with them whether in future situations this is an appropriate use of force under these circumstances. That decision will be made public.”
Police aren’t releasing the kid’s name, but he’s 17, the shirt looks recently purchased, and he may be wearing compression shorts beneath those khakis. Shameful failure in every respect.

Of course the talk tonight and well into Tuesday will be, was this much force really necessary? Of course not. My suggestion — which I first submitted to Major League Baseball in 2003 — was to shoot field crashers with tranquilizer darts, and then transport and release them deeper into the woods. Works with Jason Whitlock when he raids the KC Star fridge.

With after what happened in New York Time Square, I think him getting tazered was totally right.
Who the hell knows if this person didnt have a gun or bomb, but thats just me.

Stupid excuse for tasering a guy. The officer was clearly out of shape and that is the ONLY reason for tasering him. Get some officers who can run. Stop making excuses for such a laser fat officer.

I’m glad they tasered him, but they should have done it the following night as well. You want to run out on the field and act like a moron, you should expect whatever comes your way. If he had a weapon and did something terrible with it, the police would have been criticized for not tasering him and letting an accident happen. He got what he deserved.
