Jesper Parnevik hides the welcome mat when Tiger's in town

May 1, 2010, 12:30 PM EDT

Jesper, Jesper, Jesper! You’re going to treat a fellow golfer like that? Harsh, dude.
Parnevik continued his anti-Tiger Woods campaign that has been running pretty much at full throttle ever since Tiger’s infidelities slowly began to seep into public awareness when he told a Swedish newspaper that while Elin may do the old pop in at his Florida home any time, Tiger will not be extended the same courtesies. In fact, Parnevik said that Woods will not be welcome in his home ever again. Not even for Parcheesi?

In an interview published Saturday in the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet (coincidentally, I’m pretty sure that’s also the name of the dresser I bought at IKEA the other day, but my Swedish is rusty), Parnevik made his feeling clear, saying, “Tiger is not welcome here any longer.”
You may recall that Parnevik has a personal stake of sorts in the quickly disintegrating marriage between Tiger and Elin. The lovely Miss Nordegren was the Parnevik family’s nanny when he introduced her to young Eldrick. To put it mildly, the relationship between the two players has degraded.
Last December, Parnevik pulled no punches when describing his feelings toward the horndogging Tiger, saying (via ESPN):

“I would be especially sad about it since I’m kind of — I really feel sorry for Elin — since me and my wife were at fault for hooking her up with him. We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I would probably need to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time instead of the 3-iron.”

Yeesh. After saying that, do you think Jesper really needed to go out of his way to state that Tiger isn’t welcome at his next murder mystery dinner party (he seems like the kind of guy who would put one of those on)? Although it appears the months that have passed since December have mellowed Parnevik’s wishes for personal violence against Woods, as he added that even though he is not looking forward to the first time he sees Tiger out on the course, he “won’t hit him with a golf club.” So that’s nice.

did not know tiger and jespar were such good friends.i mean come on do we really think they ever get together and spend time at there houses. i am sure tiger will get over it.i also do not think jespar has to worry about meeting tiger on the course. jespar sucks as a golfer. has he even made a cut in years. tiger will be crushed that he cant go drink beers with his best friend any more. jespar needs to worry about his own life.bitterness only causes misery.

Classy comment… yeah Tiger’s a class act. We should all just continue to revere him

Tiger’s game is fallen, his fame has fallen…and it should. The guy is no good, not worthy to be a golf hero, not worthy of having a true life partner. Let him fade away..quickly, and I hope he enjoys the sluts and ambien. The media needs to forget about him and hopefully the rest of us will.

I’m amused at the faux moral outrage not just by Parnevik but by others as well who didn’t seem to have this disdain toward Arnold Palmer(notorious womanizer) or John Daly(Nuff said)
But Tiger Woods is the travesty. Eh you don’t have to like him personally heck you can root for him to fail nobody is saying you can’t I just wish people applied the same standards to all.
Parnevik shouldn’t feel that bad for Elin thanks to him Elin is a lot richer than she would’ve been working the nanny circuit.

TIGER YOU ARE WELCOME AT MY HOME ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Just like you Parnevik I also have FRIENDS who have had marital trouble, but I am here to help BOTH OF THEM because I consider myself their FRIEND regardless of who’s at fault. Would you welcome Tiger and not his wife if the roles were reversed. Parnevik Disappointment is the way of the World. Just tell the truth … you were never Tigers Friend and I am certainly glad you will never be my FRIEND.

Would really do all of us that really enjoy golf if he would quietly bow out from playing in any more tournaments.
He has put a terrible black eye on the PGA that will not be foregotten for some time, and if he is allowed to contined to play then he should be ordered to donate all winnings to charities that deal with sexual cheating, drug addiction and alcahol abuse.
With a very large some of his earnings going to Elin to help her raise their lovely children.
He is a very poor excuse for a man and much less a father 1st, secondly as a member of the PGA which he has embarrasted all members, should have been bared from playing this year all together and forget all the TV ratings or the number of people he might attract to a tournament.
When some one has to appologize from a scriped set of notes on how sorry he is then he is not sorry at all to any one that was listing including his wife,it all should be considered a lie, he didn’t even look like a person that was sorry, just someone reading from a page of prepaired notes. With pre-selected reporters on hand, as not to embarrass himself with their questions.
Have noticed he isn’t man enough to come and play here in Scottsdale, AZ., must be afraid of the sixteenth hole.

Cut the morality of it all Smokyjr and get over it. This behavior and far worse is all pervasive in our society and it’s been going on forever. If you want a witch hunt let’s dig deep, real deep. Golf is just a game.
