If ever something called out for a saddle and a monkey, this is it. That is one very small horse, my friends. In fact, they’re calling it the world’s smallest horse. Born in New Hampshire, measuring 14 inches tall and weighing in at 6 pounds, his name is Einstein, and he’s a pinto stallion.
Those proportions fit a human baby just about right but are downright tiny for horse, even a miniature breed like Einstein.
Dr. Rachel Wagner, Einstein’s co-owner, says the Guinness Book of Records lists the smallest newborn horse as weighing in at 9 pounds.
Breeders say that unlike the current record holder, Thumbelina, Einstein shows no signs of dwarfism. He’s just a tiny horse.
All I can think of when I see this photo is a drunken, malicious Harry Potter having a bit of mischief with the local livestock.
OK, video following the jump.
Wait, I feel a very tiny Dee Mirich poem coming on.
Also … oh my God. Is this real? Dee Mirich on Twitter?
