Morning Tweet: Maybe Millen bought Jaworski a glass of water with a booger in it

Apr 25, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

Well played, Eric Stangel, head writer and executive producer of the Late Show With David Letterman. Well played.
You see, Matt Millen made yet another faux pas during the NFL draft, only this time it didn’t involve selecting a wide receiver for the fifth consecutive year (may be an exaggeration). Instead, he let his mouth do the failing. During some friendly banter with Ron Jaworski during ESPN’s coverage of the draft, Millen referred to Jaworski as a “Polack.”
Yeah. Oops. Millen apologized for the foot-in-mouth comment, claiming it only illustrated his “his close, collegial relationship with Jaworski,” according to our colleagues at Pro Football Talk.
So there you have it. I expect no wars to be waged and no marches or protests to be held as a consequence of Millen’s lame-brained comment.
Oh, the “glass of water with a booger in it” reference? That’s a Polish Cocktail, of course.
(bows)
Sunday? Finally. That’s my “fun” day. My “I don’t have to run” day. Yeah, I riffed on a song by The Bangles. Wanna fight about it?

ABOUT LAST NIGHT…
What you missed while finally catching the circus once again inTurkmenistan…
* Golfing is making a comeback in Cuba? I’m in, but only if we can go to that bar afterward that Johnny Ola took Fredo to…you know the one I’m talking about. What? “The Godfather Part II” wasn’t real? Huh.
* Barefoot running is becoming quite popular among die-hard runners. I have two problems with this trend: the barefoot part and the running.
* Penn State head coach Joe Paterno favors the Big Ten expanding to 14 teams. Other things Paterno is in favor of: not pooping his pants and hard candy.
