Morning Tweet: This should cause no controversy at all

Apr 21, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

Sure, they have their problems — David Wright was booed after hitting into a double play with two on and one out on the seventh inning — but didn’t the Mets win on Tuesday? It was 4-0 over the Cubs, and Mike Pelfrey pitched pretty well. That’s two straight wins … but Eric Stangel is unimpressed. He’s a co-head writer and producer for The Late Show With David Letterman, and I suppose the Mets being terrible is good for him professionally. And they are in last place, a game behind the Nationals. But comparing them to Glee? That’s harsh, man. Not because anyone’s gay, but because the show is, well, called Glee.
Wednesday? Great Odin’s raven!

ABOUT LAST NIGHT …

What you missed while laughing at the term “Eight minus Kate”

* Flight grounded due to volcanic ash? Free soccer tickets!

* Alleged Tiger Woods madam working on reality show. Isn’t being know as an “alleged Tioger Wood madam” enough?

* Joe Nedney vs. robot. The fate of the world hangs in the balance.
