Off Topic: Holy crap, this is too hilarious

Apr 10, 2010, 10:30 AM EDT

Allow me to echo the sentiments of Brendan Loy of The Living Room Times: Best. Caption. Ever.
Located immediately to the right of the words you are reading just might be the best combination of a bizarre photo and supremely hilarious (yet accurate) caption in the history of reporting.
Obviously, you cannot adequately decipher precisely what makes this photo from a story about a house fire published Thursday in the New Hampshire Union-Leader, but make the jump to see it in all its epic brilliance.
You shan’t be disappointed.

No. Words. The sheer absurdity of it all has caused me to not stop laughing for the last 10 minutes.
Okay, a few more words. First, Kali Burns is now my hero and I will pattern my life after the teachings and wisdom of this gorilla-suited sage. Second, Wayne McGowen, the victim, just has to be a blogger. He was staying in a basement, wasn’t he? ‘Nuff said.
Finally, I will tell you this: if Union-Leader correspondent Jason Schreiber doesn’t snag a Pulitzer for this, there is something seriously screwed up with the world. This is first-class journalism, people. Bask in its wondrous splendor.
(thanks, Mike)

Two fires hours apart destroy beach house [New Hampshire Union-Leader]

I have a couple of observations here.
How do you have two fires at the same place?
I think the neighbor wearing the gorilla suit could be a prime suspect of arson here. Why? Not only is he dressed to hide his face, but his name gives him away.
