This golf cart does not usually drink beer, but when it does, it prefers Dos Equis

Behold, the most interesting golf cart in the world.
Holy over-the-top luxury golf cart, Batman! No really, I’m not kidding. If the Caped Crusader ever were to decide a good walk needed to be spoiled, he would eschew Wayne Enterprises Research & Development and go straight to Garia, who, among other outrageous creations, have entered the that high-end golf cart market. For instance, the Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit, pictured at right, runs for the reasonable sum of $52,000.
Sounds like a steal, right?
Just wait until you read the specs on this bad boy. You’ll be taking out a second mortgage on your house within a week. Nah, of course you wouldn’t – that would be completely irresponsible – but if there ever were a time for an unknown wealthy uncle to miraculously resurface in your life, now would be the time.
Just so you know you are dealing with a reputable company and not some fly-by-night, Cracker Jack operation, I should point out that the Garia “is manufactured at the Valmet Automotive factory in Finland, where the Porsche Boxster and Porsche Cayman are built,” so you know it’s good.
From Garia’s website:
Priced at $52,000 / €39,000, The Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit, a limited edition of The Garia Golf Car, is the world’s most expensive golf car ever made by a manufacturer. The Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit will be revealed at the luxury show Top Marques in Monaco, April 15-18 2010.
Designed exclusively for the Top Marques Monaco 2010, The Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit features carbon roof, one-of custom paint tailored to enhance all design features on The Garia, two-colored hand-stitched luxury seats, alcantara roof lining and numerous hand-made details to create a truly unique luxury golf car.
Oh, it has an alcantara roof lining? Now the $52,000 price tag makes sense (whatever the heck “alcantara” is). For those of you in the market for a Garia golf cart – better yet, a Garia Luxury Golf Conveyance (do you need to hire a chauffeur? I think you do), a video touting why you would want to plunk down $52K for one can be found here.
For those of us who cannot imagine carting this sucker to the local public course and its $40 green fees, I guess our pull carts will have to do for now.
