We’re about two weeks into this Jesse James/Sandra Bullock infidelity story, and so far no one has made the obvious comparison: Michelle “Bombshell” McGee was obviously influenced by Patty Bernstein, the trick-riding biker chick from the Steve Martin movie The Jerk. OK, now that I’ve got that off my chest, this bit of news. Radar Online tells us today that McGee was once a high school cheerleader. Also an honor student, and a member of the soccer team.
That’s why I’ve always said that the most powerful people in journalism are the editors of high school yearbooks. No matter where life takes you, you can never escape those images. From Radar:
Here we pictures of McGee in her days at North High School in Eastlake, Ohio, where she graduated from in 1996. The pages of McGee’s yearbook at North High School show McGee was an honors student heavily involved in sports (track, soccer) and extracurricular activities (cheerleader, choir singer).
“Everybody here is in a total state of shock that the Michelle McGee we knew is like a totally different person to the one we are reading about and seeing photographs of today,” a high school friend of McGee’s told RadarOnline.
