Morning Tweet: Help, Buddha! Tiger's in trouble again!

Mar 24, 2010, 9:00 AM EDT

An impressive amount of time dedicated to Tiger Woods during Letterman’s monologue last night. In addition to what you see to the right, there was this: “Tiger Woods is a little rusty of course. But even if he doesn’t win the Masters, his wife Elin will get a green jacket. It will be made out of Tiger’s money.” Unfortunately Letterman taped on Tuesday an hour or so before the New York Daily News reported that another alleged Tiger mistress had surfaced; Devon James, a Florida-based “adult entertainer,” who claims that Tiger paid her for sex over a 2 1/2-year period.

In a radio interview, she recounted her first meeting with Woods just minutes before a three-way.

“Hi, I’m Tiger. Nice to meet you,” she quoted him as saying before they quickly got down to business.

Woods, 34, allegedly paid the two women $2,000 each for what she described as “dirty” sex.

Did you think that these women would stay quiet with The Masters approaching? The media spotlight on Tiger is brighter than ever, and I’d guess there will be several more ladies willing to jump in and get them some of that.
Hopefully the magical powers of Tiger’s Buddhist bracelet will protect him from this new menace.
Wednesday?! Don’t they know you’re just a kid?!

ABOUT LAST NIGHT …

What you missed while being sentenced to 15 years for breaking into prison. Wait, what? …

* Dodgers’ Frank McCourt loves him some Tiger Woods.

* Where’s your messiah now, Tim Tebow?

* OK, this dunk by Amare Stoudemire is pretty impressive.

TODAY IN MARK TRAIL
Today’s lesson: Never confront an angry Rosie O’Donnell without air support.

  1. RJ - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:09 PM

Its obvious this man has no dignity, morale and has treated his wife and family with total disrespect, but Elin is still there so she isn’t any different then these tramps he slept with who are trying to cash in. She is looking for a big payday. She deserves to be miserable because she is only in this for the money.

  2. Fish - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:10 PM

He is still the best golfer in the world, but I will now call him Minks Woods instead of Tiger…..

  3. hmmph! - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:15 PM

Another slut-ho? Not suprising…as he returns and plays I expect others will come forth. However my guess is some are telling the truth and being slut-hos some are telling lies.

  4. one to talk - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:19 PM

    really, it’s couldn’t care less…

  5. Joel - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:33 PM

You are all idiots to listen to these airheads. Which woman who desperately needs attention from the News Media will resist stepping in? They know every tabloid in town will listen. I don’t know which one is more idiotic; new media or the scattered brain airheads….

  6. Joel - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:37 PM

RJ.. you are an idiot with your morality crap. I wouldn’t be surprise you are inbreed.

  7. golffanlikeme - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:41 PM

To Steel Magnolia and Dawn: Actually, “speak_english” is correct. The saying is “I couldn’t care less”, meaning there is nothing that I care less about. If you said “I could care less” it would mean that there are other things that are less important. I would say “I could care less” about golf, because I care less about politics, etc. than golf. (Anyway, I couldn’t care less how you want to phrase it- just wanted to point out that speak_english is correct.

  8. golffanlikeme - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:47 PM

Note to Steel Magnolia and Dawn: Actually, “speak_english” is correct. If I said I “couldn’t care less” it means that there is nothing that I care less about, like politics. If I said I “could care less” (about golf), that means that there ARE other things that I care less about than golf (such as politics). Anyway, I “couldn’t care less” how you want to phrase it, I just wanted to point out that speak_english is correct.

  9. annie - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:48 PM

Love Tiger…hate what he did…skanks want more money now that Tiger gravy train has left their station…hope he kicks ass at Augusta…hope he saves their marriage for the right reasons…and it’s “I couldn’t care less” because you don’t care now, so you cannot lower the amount of caring to any less!

  10. be2an - Mar 24, 2010 at 1:49 PM

Your comments are too funny. Poor Tiger is getting bad press. ROTFL.. Let me quote you “So Tiger went out and had sex.” Isn’t everyone entitled to that? Too funny.

  11. vietnamvet69 - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:06 PM

Enough already!! Tiger is not the first nor will he be the last married man to have an affair or affairs. The only reason that his transgressions are in the headlines is that because he is a sports star in the world of golf. There are more important things to write about other than how many women he had sex with and if he paid them or if these women keep coming out of the woodwork to get their 15 minutes of fame!! I personally could care less whether or not he had sex with other women other than Elin, and that should be between Tiger and his wife. The other things that bothers me is why are these articles written and put on sports blogs?

  12. anon - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:17 PM

golffanlike me is correct, but the way he explains it (using the comparative topic of politics) might confuse some people.
This phrase doesn’t have anything to do with the relative “caring” compared to other topics, only relies on how much you care for the subject at hand.
“I could care less” means that you still do care a bit for the subject–i.e., it has some importance in your life.
“I couldn’t [could not] care less” means that you do not have any care for the subject–i.e., there is no possible way it could have any less importance in your life. This is what most people using this phrase (in either form) really intend to say.

  13. bbdep - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:25 PM

ummmm, it’s actually “care less”. Careless and care less have two completely different meanings, since you were correcting Dawn…..

  14. wizard of Ozola - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:27 PM

ladies and Gentlemen… I now present to you the TRASH TALKING, GOLDIGGING, DIVORCE SUCKING AMERICAN..

  15. Michael in FL - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:38 PM

But so far I think he has had one for each Major.

  16. Foofy - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:43 PM

If you are going to correct someone you should make sure you are correct: “couldn’t care less”.
Wasn’t this about Tiger and his mistresses anyway?

  17. Jombo - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:48 PM

Your assuming one hole per ho. That’s a bad assumption.

  18. Creek Rat - Mar 24, 2010 at 2:57 PM

The onlt truly disgusting thing with this whole ordeal is that as the sports figure he was, alot of our children and youth looked up to him as an idol. Now everyone in the world knows what a lowlife he has been in real life and yet are still embracing him to return to the game and the spotlight. What is this saying to the future of this country in our youth, “that it is alright to go out and be a low life, people will still support you, and basicly keep you in the lifestyle you are accustomed to. The PGA should ban him for life for being a disgrace to the game of golf and to the millions who looked up to him.

  19. Big John - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:00 PM

Religious bigotry such as this article must be condemned. You have insulted millions of Buddhists and an apology is in order. If Woods wore a cross around his neck, had you then decried “Christian Magic”, or Jesus Himself, this blog would be hacking Chandler and this article to shreds. Figuratively, of course
One wonders whether Chandler is looking for a job with Fox News or one of the Christian networks. As Bush agreed with Cheney nine years ago: Chandler is “Big Time.”

  20. izzy - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:03 PM

reply to mim……..you just can’t stand the fact that your hero paid for sex with prostitutes….why pick on them?….it’s not their fault…they’re just doing their jobs…….Tiger is the one that is the lowest of low……..I’m sure we’ve only scratched the surface with the total amount of women he’s had sex with…..I hope they all eventually come out of the woodwork…..keep putting Tiger up on that pedestal…….maybe all of that sex gives him superman powers on the golf course….so that’s why he’s so much better than anyone else….he pays for it……

  21. bozolitus - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:06 PM

Good point Jombo, they are talking about “dirty sex” so i’m guessing he played a few holes on the back 9 as well. I’m guessing it was a 36 hole event, not just one round.

  22. Nita - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:06 PM

    AMEN

  23. ken - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:26 PM

I don’t know I heard he played a few on the back ( Do they count?

  24. JMLOWIE - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:27 PM

Why is it that these women are called all of the most horrible names and Tiger is a guy who “make some mistakes”? Please…. I don’t approve of the women’s part in this either- but until you start calling him a whore too, I’m tired of the name calling. “He’s just a man” is a stupid excuse! This “man” ( and I use THAT term loosely) was married! I don’t care what anyone offered- he still had a choice and made it. He also has some SERIOUS issues with not respecting women.

  25. John D. - Mar 24, 2010 at 3:37 PM

    ugh
