What better way to describe the month so far? Avatar does not win the Academy Award for Best Picture, Northern Iowa beats Kansas, the health care bill passes … unadvertised ponies in the elephant parade of life. Last night in downtown Manhattan, folks waited in the rain to see pachyderms head through the midtown tunnel and on up to Madison Square Garden for the Ringling Bros. Circus. Isn’t the circus an antiquated notion here in 2010? I like my elephants in their natural habitat; the Discovery Channel. How is it that elephants are kept chained in captivity, but Ben Roethlisberger roams free? Doesn’t seem fair.
Spring is here, baseball season approaches. More unadvertised ponies in store for us all?
I have no idea where Tuesday is. And if I did, I wouldn’t tell you.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT…
What you missed while solving the hospital gown conundrum …
* Pittsburgh columnist not enamored with the Mauer contract.
* All kinds of things are happening with the Warriors.
* Jerry Seinfeld’s wife smuggles in homemade cookies to the Mets game. Sounds like a Seinfeld episode.

TODAY IN MARK TRAIL …
Camera vs. gun. To Mark Trail, this makes perfect sense.
