So the big Tiger Woods press statement is history; the event’s television broadcast waves at this moment traveling through the ionosphere and headed into deep space. I wonder what, 200 years from now, races from other planets will think when the speech reaches them? Why did the camera cut out at the nine-minute mark, they’ll be wondering? And what’s with Tiger buttoning the top button but not wearing a tie? Earth must truly be a primitive place.
To listen to the broadcast pundits tell it, Tiger’s prepared text was a mixture of Marc Antony and Ich bin ein Berliner. I was less impressed, but then, I’ve never been known for my public speaking. So I thought I’d check out the Twitter machine to see what everyone’s saying about it. I really couldn’t care less what Rick Reilly’s take is on this; I want to hear from the real people who pay Tiger’s salary. Let’s take a look.
A sampling of bloggers, pro athletes and just regular folk, tweeting on the Tiger Woods press event:

You are absolutely correct—it is so easy to get on the Media band wagon & throw stones–but I’ll bet there’s not ONE person out there that would like someone digging up info on them & displaying it for all the world to see. Most of the time it’s like a shark frenzy–and most of the things said are rumors anyway. If we would all concentrate on doing some good in this world, maybe we wouldn’t be in the shape we are–Come on people get a grip!

Sure are a lot of judgmental folks twittering their self-righteous butts off. Hey, the guy’s a golfer not Jesus incarnate. In fact, he owed no one an apology but his family. Not fans, employees, or fellow golfers. Certainly not the bimbos he was doing. Each of them knew he was married. Give it a rest and get a life of your own.

Even if Tiger did not come out and make an apology he will still play golf and not because this sadful event happened in his life means that he can’t play golf anymore. He is the best in the world. he’s one of america’s best, why bring him down when he is one of the world’s best player and he is from america. This is just a set back for him, as a matter of fact he is such a good player he has proven himself over and over so he got a little diversion. Now after this episode is over he will come back with full force and be the best all over again! Never a dull moment for Tiger!!

Cheating has been around since the beginning of time! WTF is the big deal here??? THE INTERNET!!!!!
15-20, or more years ago no one would even have known!!!
And quite frankly, who really cares???
Why do we hold these people to such high esteem?
Our founding fathers, sports heros, additional presidents, and actors, and clergy, and so on and so on!!!!
It’s life, deal with it!!!
And yes….I had it happen to me and somehow got over it!!
ps…. still wish the bas—-, got a case of the clap!
Let it go!!!

Some of you people need to proof read before send. About Tiger, we made him this golf god almost his entire life he’s lived in a fish bowl, but come to find out he’s human and makes mistakes. I agree with those who commented on it’s between him and his wife. I believe he’s arrogant and some what snobbish, but you got to admit, the man can play golf. I just don’t think it right for us to judge.

To: Tiger/Elin & family (Buddha Dharma)
What we love, we want to last. What we hate we want to get rid of forever. Because of change, however, what we hate can’t be forever kept away, but returns.
Because of change, what we love doesn’t remain, but surely fades. If we’d relax, we’d notice that , because of change, what we love continues to appear, and, what we hate never lasts forever.
We’d also observe that there’s no abiding self to be either pleased or damaged.

Apologize to those women he slept with? Violence? I do not recall any violence. In fact, I think they should apologize as it takes two to tango and I hate to break it to you, they are not innocent by standers who were taken advantage of. I would say quite the opposite since most of them have a track record of having affairs with famous men. Stop being a victim and live your own life….

The ONLY woman that deserves an apology from Tiger is Elin. The women who got involved with him are all adults and knew that he’s married. They knew what they were getting into and chose to do it anyway. They were not being “used” and are most certainly not “victims!”

I am so sick of hearing about Tiger Woods and his indiscretions.
Label him “just another lying, cheating dog” and let’s be done with it.

Forgive and move on…
Everyone needs to be forgiven for something they did in their past!
No one is the almighty on this earth. Leave the man alone, as he stated he has more work to do.

Tiger Woods did not make these women, whores, prostitutes or porn stars. The definition of a whore or prostitute is someone who sleeps with “men” for money or gifts. he does not owe these people an apology. Victims, no way. Violence against women. Please. They chose this life and it started long before Tiger Woods did. I am not defending him. He cheated and lied to his wife, kids and mom. But not to these other women. They should all be apoligizing to his wife and mom. Is it in print some where that Tiger Woods said to these women “I want you to become a whore or prostitute”. NO

Tiger didn’t need to apologize to anyone but his wife and family. This entire issue was nobody else’s business but theirs.
Tiger’s infidelity is irrelevant to my life and yours. At least it should be.

Really Kat! They were victims? and they didn’t know he was married? and they didn’t know what they were doing? They are his partners in his infidelity. They are part of the problem.
The only “victims” here are Elin, Sam, Alexis and his Mom.
