It was formerly known as 251 Sunrise, a trendy Palm Beach nightspot that attracted acts such as Bruce Springstreen and the E Street Band. Oh, and 9/11 hijacker Mohamed Atta stopped in on Sept. 1, 2001, and with a companion consumed about $1,000 worth of champagne in 45 minutes. Now it’s called 251PB, it’s still described as “a trendy lounge,” and the owner is trying to erase its bad boy image. But is this the way to do it? Rachel Uchitel is having her birthday party there. There’s your invitation on the right; just print out, clip and save in your wallet. But who else will be there?
The invitation promises celebrities, but who is going to show up at this blatant attention-grab? I know that party hosting is pretty much her profession, but isn’t this a rather sleazy attempt to capitalize on being Alleged Tiger Woods Mistress No. 1? Or am I being too cynical? Let’s just say that we probably won’t see Meryl Streep kissing Sandra Bullock at this event. Although if Ricky Gervais is there, I’ll find some way to be there too.
Uchitel, whose name was the first to surface after Tiger Woods’ serial adultery story broke, will celebrate her 35th birthday on Jan. 29 at 251PB, Gus Renny’s trendy lounge at 251 Sunrise Ave. in Palm Beach, where Uchitel has reportedly been staying with family after L’Affair Tigre. The event is open to the public and there’s no cover, but you’ll be at the mercy of the list. Info: 561-659-7840.
Yes, you’re invited! Meanwhile, Radar Online is “reporting” that Woods has set his golf comeback for “the spring.” This could mean many things, from the Shell Houston Open on April 1 to The Masters a week later to the U.S. Open on June 17, to none of the above. Personally I would advise Tiger to make a gradual comeback, letting this guy play the first couple of tournaments.
