Hey, it’s round, it’s white, it’s in front of me … I’m kicking it. Ow! It hurts just watching that, but wait until you see the rest of the photos from this match in the Irish Cup. (Warning: Includes nose picking). Elizabeth Lambert approves. It’s all part of this complete breakfast called Monday Blogdome. Enjoy.

South America, you are on the clock. In the misleadingly-named-to-me-because-I-am-American Irish Cup, the top-flight side Newry City hosted second-tier Larne in the fifth round. Match details are harder to come by than police reports on this match, but the best I can piece together is that Newry took the lead, Larne equalized and the Newry scored again somewhere around the 75th minute. Then, as we’ll see below in the pictures, it kicked off with a red card to Larne’s captain Liam Hogan in the 80th minute. Larne’s manager was sent off a couple of minutes later, and the brawl was on. * Samuel Dalembert Spearheading NBA’s Relieft Efforts In His Native Haiti. “Yeah, through email I talked to my dad and he’s still looking for a couple of family members, my uncle and godfather. But you know, one cousin has a broken leg, but thank God most of my family is okay besides minor injuries. It’s just right now, as you can tell, we cannot tell how many people are missing. It’s chaotic out there and I think everybody’s doing their best to help out.” [Sports Radio Interviews]
* Security to Ed Lauter: ‘You’re Too Drunk to Drive’. Actor Ed Lauter (Captain Kenouer in The Longest Yard) was getting into his car outside Chateau Marmont when security intervened and told the guy to take a cab instead … a suggestion he was none too happy with. Though Ed kept saying he was “fine” and even dropped coach Larry Brown’s name in an attempt to win points with the guard, he eventually relented — and got a taxi. [TMZ]
* Brian Westbrook Is Beat To Hell (And Will Probably Retire). I’m just throwing out a hypothetical situation, but what if these injuries to Westbrook and others have to do with the way Philadelphia (or Andy Reid) treats their running backs? Maybe the practices or routine they go throw exposes them to these dangers, or maybe how often they’re used during the season does this. Hopefully something will change before LeSean McCoy constantly has a “questionable” status come game time. [Second-String Fullback]
* Monday morning uni watch. Spike Lee was wearing Jets gear, but not at the Jets/Chargers game. He was in New Orleans, attending the Saints/Cards game. Kinda weird to show up in another team’s attire, no? [Uni Watch Blog]
* Capstronaut in the owner’s box. “Caps vs. Maple Leafs — you must come join us in the Owner’s Box,” Ted Leonsis wrote on Friday. “We serve Tang with dinner. If you are at the game tonight, just come on in. Find me. You are welcomed. Astronauts are true American heroes in my book.” I did want to note that the Capstronaut’s record at the Verizon Center is now 5-0. That means he has more wins than the Redskins did last season.
