It’s our final blogdome of 2009, and what better way to end things than with the ongoing drama between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.? In today’s episode, Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum, is trying to find another fight. But if he’s so serious about finding a replacement, why is he on vacation? Stay tuned.

Manny Pacquiao’s promoter trying to set up new fight with Yuri Foreman. Contacted while vacationing in Mexico, Arum told The Times, “This is only my opinion, but I don’t see the fight happening now. Positions are hardening. I talked to [Pacquiao's advisor], and Manny’s fit to be tied. He’s very angry.” [The Fabulous Forum]

* Presenting fat guy vs. lake. I don’t care who you are or how much you hate cruelty to other people or how many trees you hugged last week. If a fat guy takes a running start of the end of a dock, YOU ARE WATCHING. But did we mention that this is in the dead of winter and that the lake might be … frozen? [With Leather]

* The 2009 ‘Best Post’ Blogging Retrospective. To close out 2009, I asked a few of my fellow members of the sports and pop culture blogging intelligentsia to send me their best post from 2009. I’m proud to say that I at least retweeted most of these when they first went live, and had a chance to go back and re-read. This list revisits Barry Bonds, Brett Favre, cartoon characters who juiced, and the seemingly insurmountable number of Harry Potter-lookalikes in the sporting world. [Steady Burn]
* The Last Bloody Eagles-Giants Fan Fight Ever At Giants Stadium. S*** hits the fan at the :39 mark when a woman starts getting shove-y. Then come the bombs. A left hook from Giants fan gets things rolling and young-ish Jints fan seems to take a blow to the nose because there is a pool of the red stuff under his nose. [Busted Coverage]
* Pro Bowler Vernon Davis: “This offense is definitely tight end friendly”. “Probably coach Singletary staying on me, just getting on me whenever I am doing things good. Just staying on the right path and putting my teammates first and not being about myself.” [Sports Radio Interviews]
