The second-greatest thing that can happen during a radio interview is the celebrity hang-up (the first greatest thing is the celebrity meltdown). Nick Lachey, who has a lot of “formers” on his resume (former husband to Jessica Simpson, former boy band member …) talked with Dan Le Batard on 790 the Ticket in Miami, and the first portion of the interview centered on Tiger Woods. Then the discussion turned to Jessica Simpson, and whether Lachey minded when she started dating Tony Romo. There was supposed to be a third portion, but Lachey apparently grew weary of the line of questioning and hung up.

Whether people should feel bad for Tiger Woods:
“I think people should feel bad for him in a sense that he is going through a tough time in his life. I don’t think there is anyone of us that would say that we would never go through a difficult time in our relationship. Maybe not to the degree he is. I think it is unfair he has to do that and has to do it in the public eye but at the same time life isn’t fair. It is what it is and people are not going to feel sorry for him and so he has to deal with it the best he can and I think that is what we all have to do.”
When he and Jessica Simpson split and whether he was mad when she went out with Tony Romo:
“I couldn’t have cared less to be honest with you. (Host: You were just done?) Yeah guys. We have all been through break-ups right? We move on with life and I have been happy in a relationship for three years and the last thing I am worried about is who she is dating.”
Whether he is getting irritated by the questions:
“No they are great questions guys. Really insightful. Good stuff.”
Whether he would prefer to talk about the Sing-Off on NBC:
“I thought that was what I was calling in about. Apparently not.”
About a minute later, after plugging his show The Sing-Off on NBC, Lachey abruptly hangs up.
