She’s allegedly levying divorce demands that will make a Thanksgiving night golf club beating seem like a day at the beach. Oh, and speaking of a day at the beach, Tiger Woods is heading to the Bahamas on his yacht at this hour. Merry Christmas!
London’s News of the World is reporting that Elin has decided to demand half of Tiger’s fortune — which would be half of somewhere between $600 million and $900 million, depending on whom you believe — and full custody of the couple’s two children. Meanwhile, the former Swedish model is headed to her homeland with the kids for Christmas, according to reports. She rolled out of Orlando today in a motorcade that included a police escort. What, no air support?
A close pal of Elin, 34, told us: “Tiger was supposed to be working on getting better and he hasn’t done anything. Instead he just went to stay with a friend in Maryland and says he’s ‘trying to get better on his own’.
“Elin is livid he hasn’t checked into rehab and gotten himself off his drugs. He’s acting like a big baby.
Nordegren — who has hired high-powered Hollywood divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope to shoot for as much as half of Woods’ fortune — plans to spend Christmas in seclusion with the kids.
Meanwhile, People Magazine reports that Woods’ yacht, Privacy, left North Palm Beach and is heading to the Bahamas with Woods and several golfer friends. It’s unclear as to whether any babes are aboard. If Tiger goes ashore, it’s a good bet he’ll be staying here.

I know that Woods is the “bad guy” here and what he did was very, very wrong. Personally I never really like the guy. But where does she get off asking for HALF of what Woods has made? She looks like a gold digger of the first degree!

The question is “she wants 1/2 his money?” She signed a pre-nup for 5 years, $5M. End of story! No matter if he cheated with one women (still wrong) or 200 women. Im sure those laywers did not put a gun to her head?

I’d be careful with your statement that “Elin lived that”. You may have been told that, but you don’t know that. Any more than you would have been able to say this about TW 4 weeks ago. For that matter, you know about TW what you’ve been told. I am a big fan of Tiger and he’s the reason I started golfing… this “hell broke loose” thing is sickening on so many levels:
1- it’s a private thing!!!
2- although what he did is disgusting and demeaning to his family… how come nobody is asking true questions beyond whether he’s addicted to sex (which might be true)… maybe he’s a very unhappy married man… what if his pretty wife is a monster at home… you never know…
I understand why people come to the defense of the wife but very few dare ask what really pushed the man to become adulterous…

There are plenty of athletes and entertainment figures who have turned a sophisticated image into tens of millions of endorsements and unimaginable wealth. Some actually walk the walk, others build false images, then resort to lies, deception and legal bullying to keep the business plan intact.
Compare the big, goofy, but real image of a George Foreman to Tigers contrived image. Compare a Derek Jeter to a Roger Clemens or Barry Bonds. Some guys figure it out, some don’t. I hope all the less talented but more respected golfers (such as Mickelson) gain what Tiger threw away. I’d listen to what Phil has to endorse, I doubt I’d buy anything Tiger is trying to sell. Does anyone find it ironic that a flawed brand (Tiger was the spokesperson for the product (Buick) of a failed car company ??

Nothing like a sports thread to keep the stereotype of dumb jocks going. A prenup is not a sacred contract that cannot be breeched. What if Tiger was a physically abusive husband instead of an adulterer? Is the prenup still valid? Does the wife have to stay with the abusive husband in order to comply with the prenup? If thats the case, any prenup with a time requirement would allow the husband to do everything he could to make the wife leave before she qualifies for the prenup payment. Or visa versa in those rare cases.

Come on… don’t think for a minute that Elin is the typical single or working Mom. How many of you think she washed any dishes or did laundry, went shopping or even pushed the strollers by herself? both of them failed, communication , or lack of it caused the marriage to fail. allways excuses to cheat or get married for the wrong reason , the hard part is staying and working together so the love can grow and things like divorce and lawyers can disappear.

because ,the bottom line is money. woods and elin see it , the next person that ” needs more money” see it . the moral values decay every day in this world ,its easy to get a divorce a lot harder to stay in a marriage , this one is over , not because of the affair ,( that is wrong ) because of our society its easier . it should be way harder to get married in the first place , so , if ” down the road ” you find that the lack of communication , cheating, hurting , beating and all of the other excuses , would make it less inviting for people to get married in the first place.
the kids should get all the money , to help them understand , that marriage takes daily and at times hourly working together as a team to see it grow.

If Erin assulted Tiger it is moot. Tiger has said, it was all his fault. Non of this would have happened if he hadn’t let the glitz of fame get to him in a negative way. If she get’s half of everything I don’t think he would care. He would still have HALF A BILLION dollars left. He can rebuilt his fortune but not his family. If I was him that is all I would care about. But he can visit and take the kids places like the rest of us wayward divorced dads. But at least, and I hope he still has a good relationship with Erin. Because if he doesn’t the next twenty years will be bad. If he maintains good standing the scedule conflicts won’t get in the way of him seeing his kids, or his kids coming to stay with him when he’s not playing golf. I wish them both the best, with a little prayer mabe they can work things out.
