Reportedly furious that her husband has not entered rehab as he promised, and hey! Who ate all the Lucky Charms?!, Elin Nordegren is taking off the kid gloves. She’s allegedly levying divorce demands that will make a Thanksgiving night golf club beating seem like a day at the beach. Oh, and speaking of a day at the beach, Tiger Woods is heading to the Bahamas on his yacht at this hour. Merry Christmas!
London’s News of the World is reporting that Elin has decided to demand half of Tiger’s fortune — which would be half of somewhere between $600 million and $900 million, depending on whom you believe — and full custody of the couple’s two children. Meanwhile, the former Swedish model is headed to her homeland with the kids for Christmas, according to reports. She rolled out of Orlando today in a motorcade that included a police escort. What, no air support?
A close pal of Elin, 34, told us: “Tiger was supposed to be working on getting better and he hasn’t done anything. Instead he just went to stay with a friend in Maryland and says he’s ‘trying to get better on his own’.
“Elin is livid he hasn’t checked into rehab and gotten himself off his drugs. He’s acting like a big baby.
Nordegren — who has hired high-powered Hollywood divorce lawyer Sorrell Trope to shoot for as much as half of Woods’ fortune — plans to spend Christmas in seclusion with the kids.
Meanwhile, People Magazine reports that Woods’ yacht, Privacy, left North Palm Beach and is heading to the Bahamas with Woods and several golfer friends. It’s unclear as to whether any babes are aboard. If Tiger goes ashore, it’s a good bet he’ll be staying here.

As a big fan of Tiger as a golfer I am really disapointed in him for what he is doing. I really thought you had better manners than you are showing with all that is coming out right now. I know myself am really let down by you and I am sure alot more of fans feel that way. Please try to get your act together and come back to golf and be the one to break all records you have before you.

Blame Tiger and his sponsors for this. Both worked hard to cultivate his “pure as the driven snow” image – when both parties knew it was B.S. Honestly, the personal angst between Tiger and Elin is just that – personal. However, being conned by Gatorade, Buick, Nike and Tiger is galling. He cheated on his wife. However, he lied to the world-wide consumer.

OK, first, how did she go from “Nanny” to “Swedish Model?” She was never a model.
Next, The residence if Florida. As bad as this situation is, the law is the law. She is not entitled to half. Nice thought though.
She signed the pre-nup. Unless it exactly states it, weather it be cheating, drugs, beating her (which that seems not to be the case) whatever, she signed in for that amount. Thats what you wanted, thats what you got.
You also signed on for a number of years. You did not complete those years, meaning YOU broke the contract. So again, as bad as it seems, I do not feel she is entilted to nadda!.
I see 2 options. Stay married (even if not living together) at least until time is up on pre-nup. And he will likely give you millions more for staying. or work out a deal for $10M now and child support, which will likely be more a month than most make a year!

As another big fan of Tiger, I may be suprised by the infidelity, I am not suprised by the way he is acting. Everyone who watches golf knows that when he lines up a shot the censors have to keep a finger on the button to dump the audio because he is always vulgar after missed shots. Anyone who says he was such a gentleman before has never paid attention to him. You can’t base it off previous Media Interviews because he has always been as far out of the media spotlight as feasably possible. While I am disappointed that a positive ethnic role model has suddenly been turned into nothing more than another philandering celebrity, I am more upset that all of the children that looked up to Tiger might see his actions and think that it is ok to cheat on your spouse. The people I am most disappointed with are the gossip magazines that seem to be celebrating dragging this man and his family through the coals. The first cover I saw said “Yes, He Cheated!” as if they were celebrating that yet another marriage in our country is going to end in divorce.

I think the real moral of the story is not to have a woman in every port and be married at the same time! Tiger hasn’t been honest with anyone including himself. I can understand Elin’s frustration and anger. I expected more from Mr. Woods and evidently his wife did too. Tiger failed to see that there would be heavy consequences for his actions. Now he is paying a big price.
