How much will Elin get in divorce? Place your bets

If you’re like me, you’ve got some cash burning a hole in your pocket and nowhere to place that Tiger Woods divorce prop bet. But hey, we’re in luck: A couple of enterprising bookmakers are now taking those wagers. First, here’s the British firm William Hill, which is giving odds on how much of Tiger’s loot Elin Nordegren will scoop up in the divorce. You can currently get 25-1 odds that Nordegren will receive more than half a billion dollars, but it drops to 6-4 for a settlement of below $100 million. It’s 1-2 for between $100 million and $500 million.
Meanwhile, notorious Irish online bookmaker Paddy Power is taking wagers on with which woman Tiger will spend Christmas … and Elin is not the favorite.


That would be Kultida Woods, who is currently a 2/5 favorite to be whipping up some of Tiger’s favorite recipes of Christmas Eve. Others on the short list:

Paddy Power is also offering odds on where Tiger will spend Christmas. As you can see, Belize is 12-1, while the North Pole is 100-1. Yep. He may be planning to lease Superman’s Fortress of Solitude.
Meanwhile, over at Hill:

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said the company had been taking bets on whether or not the couple would get divorced at all, but took the market down because it was too one-sided with people betting on divorce. Hill also had bets on how many women would come forward as alleged mistresses, but Adams said that was too difficult to verify.

None of the bets, though, have been for much money.

“People are putting on small bets, probably so they can have a giggle in the pub and show their mate a betting slip,” Adams said. “It’s not vast sums of money.”

Oh, and you can also bet on when Woods will return to golf.

Two other British bookmakers, Ladbrokes and Coral, are only taking bets on Woods as a golfer, saying they wanted to stay away from his personal problems.

“We did think about it, but we tend not to go down there,” Coral spokesman Gary Burton said.

Ladbrokes is only taking bets on whether or not Woods, with 14 major titles, will break Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 — and the odds on that are getting longer.

“He’s 2-5 to break the record, 23-1 not to,” Weinberg said. “We were as short as 1-20.”

Coral is taking bets on whether Woods will play at the Masters, the first major of the year, in April. Two weeks ago, they were giving 9-2 odds that he would miss the tournament at Augusta. That’s been cut to 11-10 because of the mounting scandal.

    It appears the public/media/nosey people with no life won’t be happy until they’ve driven Tiger to suicide. What’s wrong with you people, you’ve destroyed his life with your “coverage” … isn’t that enough. Now you have to take bets on his pain & loss. What’s wrong with you?

    Tiger, good luck getting your life pulled back together. You have given the public years of satisfaction watching how you have changed the face of golf. Hopefully now the public will understand why you have asked for some privacy while you tackle your challenges. We wish you the very best.

    “jkwdub” will never earn my respect until he/she gets with the program and expresses more-liberal usage of the expressions “don’t be such a busybody!” and “mind your own beeswax!” Without those sprinkled into the conversation, it’s difficult to see his/her point of view as he/she crusades against “you people.”

    Funny how Tiger didn’t mind the exposure when it was making him a billion dollars. He didn’t mind having his face in magazines, on tv, on the web when he was pushing a product and puttng that endorsement money in the bank. Now everyone want him left alone.

    The media has destroyed his life???? HE destroyed his life. HIS “pain and loss????” What about the pain and humiliation HE has brought to his wife and children???? Tiger Woods deserves NO sympathy for the mess he is in. HE brought it all on himself! He may be the greatest golfer ever, but as a man, as a husband, as a father, as a person of integrity, he’s a loser. I hope Elin takes his lying, cheating, butt to the cleaners. She and those kids deserve a lot better than him.

    Geez, if I were Elin Woods I would pay Tiger to go away!
    He’s contaminated and probably needs to be tested for HIV/AID’s. Tiger and company could easily infect an entire city. She will need to stand up and raise her kids the best that she can and her babies need her.
    Money’s good but peace and piece of mind and dignity is priceless.

    Are you a nut job ? Tiger destroyed his own life by living a lie and presenting himself to the public in a false way. He has no one to blame but his own butt.
    He will be free to chase all the women he want before long but he will be about 300 million lighter. His fault and he knows it. Now he doesn’t get to see his kids whenever he wants. Whe they are old enough to understand this they may not want to see him at all.

    There is only one Tiger in Windemere, unfortunately, one “PUSSYCAT” also. Elin, please take your children home to Sweden and then take the “pussycat” to the cleaners. His cadre of friends, Charles, Clinton and Michael want to reach out to him. What a classless act of companions. Tiger’s dad made him into the worlds greatest golfer, shame he never spent any time teaching him to be a man.

    Its pretty unbelievable, the tiger enablers with all their excuses why we should look past his character. “he is the greatest”, he’s a winner, his wife is the problem, etc. Pretty scary, the message is just win and the rest appears just to be a minor sideshow. I’ve found these folks are pretty slow on the uptake with the big picture, not sure what they are teaching their children??, character appears to be #28 on the list. Cheating, lying (100′s of business trips?? all with made up elaborate stories) all add up to who you are at the end of the day. What else do you have, if you have lost all credibility… just a image..no one can ever trust anything you say or do.

    How much will Elin get? That will be determined by agreements (pre-nupp)and what the parties Elin, Tiger agree to now.
    As a boy Tiger put Nicklaus’s records on his wall. He aspired to be a great golfer. Sure he would make money…however global recognition, vast sums of money from sponsors, and changing golf forever as some would suggest, could not have been foreseen. With the aforementioned came a beautiful wife and family. Morally he has screwed up, period. Morally many of us have failed…more than once. Most of us like Tiger because of his unparalleled golfing abilty. No one can hit a 3 wood, 5 wood, 8 iron etc. like him. No one. At the end of the day it isn’t about character, race or bimhos or even golf. It’s often more about the image WE create of an individual and OUR expectations that come with it. His image, created by sponsors and untold others is finally in his hands. Our expectations should be about his golf game.
