If true, that’s quite a shot. Cell phone, right to the kisser! Boom goes the dynamite! I saw this Star Magazine report on Tuesday, and decided not to write about it. But I was listening to KNBR (San Francisco) radio host Ralph Barbieri last night, and he had this to say:
“Talk among the golf media people is that Elin may have broken as many as four of Tiger’s teeth on Thanksgiving night. That’s what they’re saying. So it makes sense that he wouldn’t want to come out in public after that.”
According to Star Magazine, Elin Nordegren confronted Tiger’s alleged mistress, Rachel Uchitel, by phone on Thanksgiving night, which precipitated a physical confrontation with her husband.
Within minutes, Elin and Tiger were involved in a furious fight. As Star reported yesterday, things got so heated Elin threw her cell phone at Tiger, hitting him in the face and breaking his tooth.
“She then grabbed a golf club and chased him around the house, doing tens of thousands of dollars of damage,” a source close to Tiger told Star. “Tiger ran out to his Escalade barefoot to get away from her” — and was in such a state of panic that he crashed into a fire hydrant and a neighbor’s tree after pulling out of his driveway.
The full Star Magazine article comes out on newsstands Dec. 21.

To all of you Woods apologists: Like I said to Fred, what this guy did does make a difference. He presumes to care for kids through his foundation and other charitable activities but in 11 quick instances he lost all the good will he’s built up and has disallusioned and disappointed thousands of kids and their parents with his selfish and adulterous behavior. If you think that’s acceptable then I feel sorry for the entire lot of you.

“Hey News Media” How man troops have died since former president Bush lied and sent them to war?? Tiger has not killed anybody, why arn’t you on Bush and Chaney’s door step asking them why they lied? Why aren’t you drilling down and demanding war crime charges? I’ll tell you why, You’re a bunch panty waste!!!! Gutless, lazy jerks that have no balls to go out and do the hard stories (you probably cheated your way through journalist school). A bunch of Perverts, peeking into the sex lives of atheletes, because you don’t have what it takes to report on the real issues and drill down to hard news like Woodward and Bernstein did. No you’d rather report on peoples sex lives because that is easy to do because guess what? People screw! I have no respect for you just like when growing up, I had no respect for the Russian news paper Provda. I bet David Brinkley, Walter Conkrite and real news journalist are turning in their grave. They left you an honorable profession and you tuned it into quoting Star Magazine, The national Joke and US Weekly. Losers!

Tony,
I think you are missing the point. Most men don’t abuse their wives for cheating on them with 9 or more men. They do it to control them. Its a power thing. I really don’t think Elin is showing any sort of power play here. He committed the biggest betrayal a spouse can. Over and over again. I think that’s worth the toss of a cell phone!

‘ohio girl’,
Excellent response but me-thinks it’s lost on most of the ignorant knuckleheads who spew their anti-female garbage on this thread and beyond. That said, I can always remain hopeful that they might get your point.

Cheetah Woods is exactly what he wanted to be; a ‘Brand Name’ with his branded line of clothing, golf clubs and so forth. This puts him in the public domain, which is why comedians etc., can’t generally be sued for making jokes about him (this is different from malicious slander).
Hopefully he will overcome his personal liabilities and perhaps even achieve some form of reconciliation with his wife. However, the challenges are pretty immense for him – maybe too much.

To the ladies rooting her on…
If the situation were reversed, and I mean identically, you’d condone Tiger breaking her teeth and damaging her genitals? This isn’t about getting pissed off that your favorite sports team is losing and taking it out on your spouse. If my wife cheated on me, I have the right to leave her. I don’t have the right to punch her in the mouth and hit her in the groin with a 9-iron. It is truly disgusting to see the double standard.

I get tired of hearing (women!) and men scold the wife for going for his money and reacting violently…she didn’t do it first! It’s cause and effect people. For every action there is a reaction. This guy has had sex repeatedly with dozens of women while his wife was at home having babies. How many diseases did he expose her to? He put her life in danger and just trashed his family – all before his kids knew what family was supposed to be about. So she trashed a few things in the house and his teeth. Good for her? There is nothing good for Elin in this. Nothing. Hey Nike, do you know I threw out my husbands favorite Nike hat yesterday? I don’t want to see my husband wearing the hat of a cheetah. I think the endorsement money will still be there but less of it.

oh yea, the skanks that cheated with him, talk about a bunch of whores with no self esteem or values…talk about human slugs…I’ve been hit on by married men when I was single. Back then I just ignored them. I wish I would have scolded or laughed at them. Not that it would make a difference and they wouldn’t go bark up some other tree…can’t wait til the chickens come home to roost for the skanky women that slept with him. Hopefully in the form of warts!

Tiger you are the greatest golfer that ever lived. You have mastered the most difficult game man has ever invented. A few more majors and the crowds will be chanting “Hail Tiger”. Critics in the “criticising” mode regardless of the subject or subject matter, by their comments, present themselves as pure and without fault or transgressions. You are all abunch of hypocrites. Go scr… yourselves.

Why is everyone so upset with Tiger Woods over his behavior? He is not a god or a hero or a role model as much as his handlers would have you believe. He is a human being with failings just like you and me. If you need a hero for your children be a hero for your children. Stop putting such as Tiger (anybody) on a pedestal that they couldn’t reach with the tallest of ladders. People crack me up. The divorce rate for first time marriages is over 50% and infidelity (in marriage) is through the roof (depending on whose survey you choose to believe). Quite a few people behave as the Tiger behaved without having to pay for it by having their “good names” flogged in the public square. My point is simply that we need to concentrate on tending to our own lives while removing from those same lives, a need to have heroes. Not going to happen in a million years but it needs to be considered by those who don’t need to live through another human being.

As a black woman, it drives me crazy that Tiger doesn’t consider himself black. It drove me insane when he married the whitest woman he could find. But it looks like he got a sista after all! Elin, you go girl!

On the other hand, this should have nothing to do with his endorsements. He got those for playing golf, not for being faithful to his wife.
What I don’t understand is why he got married at all. If you are a billionaire & you want every female that walks by – fine, just don’t get a wife.

Why do all the American women project what they see onto themselves and personalize all this? Must be the crap their spoiled behinds pick up while sitting around watching on TV. This is none of anyone’s business but theirs. The End.

Enough of the “this is a private matter,” baloney – When I am forced to sit through endless Tiger ads for all manner of stuff aired during every sporting event in America – Ads that basically state I should dig into my pockets and cough up the dough because Tiger is such a stand-up guy, such an honest, all around great human being – Well, then you’re looking to put your hand into my pocket and that, my friend, is no longer a “private” matter.
