Well, I was going to the movies tonight, but at the rate Tiger Woods seems to be scoring waitresses it looks like I’m never going to see Ninja Assassin. Here is alleged mistress No. 5 (drumroll) … Mindy Lawton, a waitress from Orlando. She’s telling her story to the London Daily Mail a few hours ahead of schedule, which I learned via SportsbyBrooks. Here’s a link to her picture, and as you can see, Tiger’s taste in women seems to be getting worse as this saga progresses. I fully expect Meredith from The Office to be next.
But here’s why this revelation is different from the others: Two sources are claiming that one of Tiger’s alleged sexual rendezvous with Lawton occurred in the back seat of his SUV while it was in the parking lot of a church. And two news outlets may have conspired with Tiger’s camp to keep it all quiet. Yikes! What next?
The Daily Mail calls it a “church car park,” but you get the idea. The pair also allegedly had sex at Tiger’s Orlando home several times while his wife was out of the country; the two driving into the gated community separately. I think we’ve left “Screwing Around” territory and officially entered “Sexual Addiction.” Population: Eldrick Woods.
It was in 2006, says the Daily Mail, that Tiger and Lawton began their relationship; and on at least one occasion had sex in the back seat of Woods’ SUV. The National Enquirer was tipped to the relationship, and photographed one of the back-seat trysts from a nearby van which had the windows blacked out.
That was two years-plus before The Enquirer outed Rachel Uchitel, Tiger’s alleged mistress from New York, which started this entire saga. But according to a story in the New York Post, the Enquirer was told to spike the exclusive by its parent company, American Media, so that Men’s Fitness magazine (another American Media property) could make a deal with Woods to pose on one of their covers. Woods’ camp allegedly agreed to the deal to keep the Enquirer from revealing the affair. (American Media has denied this).

Today, Mindy Lawton, 34, knows that she was just one of many mistresses taken by the golfer. But, according to her family, throughout their 14-month affair she laboured under the delusion that what she had with Tiger was special and that they were in love.
Mindy’s sister, Orlando primary school teacher Lynn Lawton, said: ‘She is extremely, extremely naive, my sister. She is single, never married, never had children and still looking for a relationship. I have to hand it to him. It was brilliant to choose my sister to play his kind of game.’
The unworldly Mindy was easily dazzled and undemanding. She and Tiger met in summer 2006, when Mindy was working as an $8-an-hour manager and waitress at Perkins, a diner only a short drive from Tiger’s home in the upmarket Orlando suburb of Windermere. Tiger and his wife Elin would regularly take breakfast there.
Some are calling bull**** on this one, but my question is, how is this less believable than the other four? If you’re going to cheat on a woman who looks like Elin Nordegren, you’re obviously not going for glamor to begin with.
On the alleged coverup, the New York Post writes:
Woods’ camp, fearful of a potential public-relations nightmare in spring 2007, allegedly agreed to do a cover for Men’s Fitness — a magazine owned by the Enquirer’s parent company, American Media, former Men’s Fitness editor-in-chief Neal Boulton said yesterday.
“[American Media CEO] David Pecker knew about Tiger Woods’ infidelity a long time ago,” Boulton told The Post. “[Pecker] traded silence for a Men’s Fitness cover.”
Boulton said he left his post in April 2007, as the seedy Woods-Men’s Fitness deal was completed.
“We were going to [do a quid pro quo with] America’s favorite sports star, just to get his name on the cover of a magazine,” said Boulton. “That was too much for me. That’s when I high-tailed it out of there.”
Pecker dismissed all the quid-pro-quo allegations.
“It is absolutely not true,” said Pecker. “[Boulton] is a disgruntled former employee.”
This news follows closely on the high heels of reports that Jamie Jungers, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress, is about to tell her own story to a British tabloid, possibly in just a few hours. Now that Lawton has beaten her to the punch, Jungers’ Myspace mood status has been updated to “royally pissed.”

PGA tour coverage is the best….there is none. After all he has done for the golf channel, seeing golf central these days is a joke.

I am going through the same thing that Tiger is going through. I love my wife and family…but…
I admire all those who unequivocally condemn Tiger with such conviction. I wish I could have that sense of certainty. It would make life so much easier. At times I have been totally convinced in the monogamous and exclusive… at another time I lost that conviction.

Jack Nicklaus record is now safe. Tiger will never again be able to go to a major and concentrate enough to win. The cat calls and boo-birds will be everywhere. Why does a man like Tiger Woods get married? Men get married because they, like women, have an irresistible, biological desire God-given if you will, to bring children into the world and ensure the continuation of their family bloodlines. And since marriage is the culturally established basis for having a family, men use the contex of marriage to build a social and financial life. But sooner or later a man finds himself caught between two sides of his sexuality. Because it’s the same sexuality the drives him to mate and bring children into the world that drives him to crave a variety of sexual experiences. A man’s sexual DNA does not magically change because he takes a wife.
In the Myth of Monogamy Dr.David Barash and Dr.Eve Lipton, a husband and wife scientific research team, concluded from their exhausted study, “There is no evidence from biology or anthropology that monogamy is natural or normal for human beings. There is, by contrast, abundant evidence that people are prone to have multiple sexual partners.”
But is this kind of scientifically researched reality given any credence at all by our culture? No. Instead of acknowledging natural human sexuality our American culture has done everything to try and change the nature of men. We’ve threatened and punished them. We’ve humiliated and disgraced them. We’ve strip them of their status, taken their money, their homes and their daily contact with their children. Yet have we changed them? No! All we’ve accomplished is to vilify men and in the process harmed everyone involved to the benefit of no one.
Men do not choose the nature of their sexuality anymore than they choose their elbows. We do not make ourselves non-monogamous like a person makes themselves drunk by drinking 5 martinis. Maybe one of the drug companies should invent a monogamy pill that would lower men’s testosterone level. But find a man who would take it. As long as we, as a culture, continue to condemn men’s sexuality we will remain complicit in perpetuating the harm done to women and children, as well as men themselves, in our infantile effort to control and manipulate what has been shown to be normal human behavior. The goal of my book is to encourage people to begin to make non-monogamy a victimless event.

I have been saying for years, that this guy is juiced!! you cannot work out like he does without a little help?? Yes, i believe he do have big problems and the tour would conspire with him. I am just wondering where he finds the time, to do all he has done. Maybe, there is a man mister out there as well? That would be hilarious. The fact is men and women are not monogamous. Monogamy may occur, but it does not last. When are we as a culture going to have the courage to look at how unrealistic our disneyfied expectation of marriage is? We’ve got it all ass backwards. Marriage is a cultural arrangement that should serve us, as in :”we the people” But instead “we the people’ are considered marriage’s LOWLY participants. We are there strictly to serve the institution by obeying it’s rules. And when we don’t, we disgrace ourselves because we disgraced the institution of marriage. This is such bull-shit. Monogamous marriages are based on a lie. human beings are not monogamous. As a result every time a man or woman engages in the truth they have to lie. This is ridiculous! And it’s killing relationships. Whenever you build something on a foundation that is not reality then sooner or later reality will knock and eventually pound, and then break down the door no matter how hard you try to shut it out.
Tiger Woods did not let down his family. His culture let his family
down by creating and perpetuating a false impression about how most people really are. Shame on us!

Richard,regarding the study by that doctor couple, I’d like to know a bit more background about them. Studies are reknown for finding evidence to support what researchers are looking for. Because something is ‘normal’ does not mean it’s ‘natural’ and I like how the doctors cover both of these bases with just a comment. The motivation to screw everything that walks and not give into it is part of the debate man has had with himself for centuries – are we animals and prone to nothing more than animal tendencies and always using this as our excuse? Are we rational beings, or are we the most complicated, BOTH – where each day we get to decide what we are and act accordingly.

Doesn’t the fact that there was some agreement prior them getting marriage, enough incentive for a man to Cheat. If I knew I was going to be worth a billion dollars in a few years, and I knew that if I swayed at some point during the marriage was going to cost me (well let’s just say 50 million dollars), won’t that be an incentive for tiger to cheat.
For those who really believe in the intitution of Marriage ( and I mean really believe), I really sympathize with you guys.
The basic fact of the matter is that, who knows what is really going on the marriage, how do we know Elin is not cheating also.. I mean who really knows what’s going on?
I am of the firm believe that if you are willing to sign some kind of agreement (pre-nup)prior to getting marriage, then it is no longer a marrage. It is almost like prostititution. That to me, is the what this discussion should be about.
