Tiger Woods simulation 2.0: This time with more debauchery

Dec 4, 2009, 4:30 PM EST

Apple Daily, the Chinese tabloid which gave us the computer graphics simulation of what really happened in the Tiger Woods car crash, is back again with more animated details. This time the video zeroes in on alleged mistress No. 2, Jaimee Grubbs, and the phone message she says she received from Tiger.
Also … computer simulated womanizing Derek Jeter! These just keep getting better. Plus a prominent journalist tells us why these computer simulations may just be here to stay. Oh, and our translated Chinese headline this time is:
“The sex scandal makes the live gentleman to stay at home a star time.”
Video following the jump.

On Countdown with Keith Olbermann last night, Olbermann broke down the new Woods video, but not before giving his opinion on the technology involved, and its new place in all our lives. The future is awesome, my friends.

“Here’s the unavoidable, now larger truth. This CG news animation jazz — they call it motion news — it is now here for good, forever. In this country it will start at TMZ.com or Access Hollywood or maybe the PBS News Hour, but eventually, it will be everywhere. Not endorsing it, I’m not passing judgment on it, I’m just saying. Every network in this country already does it for transportation accidents and I saw it on World News two hours ago, as a means of illustrating the White House gatecrashers.”

Indeed, I foresee a time, not far off, when every Out of Bounds post will have an accompanying computer animation. Thank God Mangino resigned before this happened.
