Bears Linebacker Reads Comic Books, Paternity Suits

Nov 4, 2009, 10:00 AM EDT

When I heard that Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs had launched his own comic book site a while back, I was rather stunned. I mean, it may be the first time that someone involved in a paternity suit has had an opinion on The X-Men.
Briggs started the site Lance’s Comic World in September, giving him an outlet to write on his passion for comic books. My question: Where does he find the time, what with the football and the getting multiple women pregnant? One of his recent posts on his new site is a pointed example of those poor decision-making skills.

From a Briggs post on the site dated Oct. 31:

Someone just asked me to compare the 1995 Batman Forever movie to the 2007 The Dark Knight, which I thought to be a tough question. I feel like most people would say The Dark Knight because of the cinematic effects. But, come on, real comic book fans would have to say hands down Batman Forever.

Preferring the Val Kilmer Batman to The Dark Knight is almost as poor a decision as fathering three children with three different women within the same year. One of the mothers launched a paternity suit against him in May of 2008.
And then there’s crashing your new Lamborghini and fleeing the scene, reporting it stolen. I believe George Clooney did that with the Batmobile in Batman and Robin.

Three women pregnant in one year? That is one of the luckiest/unluckiest sonavabitches in the world!
