Mmmff, what? Oh, hello. Man, I just had the weirdest dream. Former Duke guard J.J. Reddick was making a rap CD, and he was totally serious about it. Then someone told me that I had to review it for this site, and listen to every cut. And not only that, but there was a video. Yeah, I know — horrific.
Wait, um, what’s that you say?
BREAKING NEWS. Orlando Magic’s J.J. Redick working on a rap album. This season is already off to a good start. — NBA Offseason
I hate you, Jesus.
Video following the jump.
Thanks to NBA Off Season.com for the heads up.
“It was supposed to be hush-hush, but the word’s out now so I might as well talk about it,” Reddick said in a video that just appeared at NBA.com. “Ryan (Anderson) and I are working on a rap CD. The name of the first song is “Waste Management,” but we don’t have a name for the group yet. A couple of ideas are Afterthought, and Sub-Par. We’ll see.”
Of course with all the hundreds of rap artists produced by the mean streets of Durham over the years, this only makes sense. And if you act now, you can be a part of it all. Help Reddick (new rap name: JJ Vanilla Pug) name his new rap group! Please submit your ideas in the comments.
My only real hope here is that Magic beat writer John Denton be immediately added to this group. That would make things complete.

In the world of modern day hip hop and rap, its just seems like all the songs sound exactly the same.
